Volunteers 

I am always looking for volunteers to help out.  

Whether it is in the classroom, suggesting ideas or your time for special projects, having a parent participate is the most valuable contribution I can think of to get  the best education for your child.

I encourage you to look over the list below and determine if you can volunteer in any of the areas.

In the Classroom
  • Room Mother
  • Assistant Room Mother
  • work with individuals, groups
  • grade papers
  • chaperone field trips, class parties
  • help with duplicating worksheets, clerical help
  • Computer Lab Assistant
  • be a Guest Speaker

 

From Home
  • correct homework packets on Friday and return them on Monday
  • correcting spelling tests on Friday and returning them on Monday
  • taping books on audio tape
  • collect cans for recycling and turn in for money at recycling centers
  • ordering Lucky Books and/or Trumpet Books regularly
  • contribute to Mrs. Hoffman's Wish List
  • arrange a Guest Speaker to visit the class
  • coordinate a field trip

 

Other Ideas

 
  • special skills to contribute for projects and holiday times such as: sewing, cooking, arts and crafts, carpentry, drama, music
  • making or creating educational games
  • ideas for P.E. activities, field trips, holiday/special events

 

Any contribution you can make, no matter how small, will not only benefit your child, but the entire class.
